Van Gogh

I recently had the opportunity to work on a project that really got my attention. What would a Magic card look like if it was illustrated by a 'museum-worthy' painter? Say this guy for example:

Van Gogh is a great choice. His style is vibrant, unique, and highly recognizable. Here's my take on Van Gogh Jace:

There's talk that this will become part of a set including Picasso, Seurat, and a yet undetermined artist. Here's hoping.

  1. The 4th could be Chagall, Matisse, or Monet. Though I LOVE Chagall, I think Monet would be an interesting style to emulate in this medium.

  2. Didn't see that you Von Gogh'd the Jace as well! That detail increases my appreciation of the card by at least 50%. A+ again.
